Kristell Penfornis, Milon van Vliet, Winnie Gebhardt and Eline Meijer from Leiden University and LUMC recently published a scientific article in BMJ Open. The article details the methodology they employ in a scoping review in which they will summarize the role of identity (how we see ourselves) in the context of smoking and physical activity. The final scoping review will also summarize which identity-related interventions have previously been used to influence smoking and physical (in)activity, and which ones were successful in promoting smoking cessation and increased physical activity.
